Full House Renovation in Swansea

Project Overview

This property in Swansea underwent a full internal renovation led by D & D Home Maintenance Solutions. The works covered structural preparation, electrics, plumbing, insulation, plaster boarding, finishing carpentry, kitchen & bathroom installation, decorating, and external garden improvements.

The client’s goal was a modern, refreshed home with improved energy efficiency, safer electrics, and better use of space — delivered from start to finish by one contractor.

Phase 1 – Strip-Out & Preparation

We began by hacking off damaged walls, removing old fixtures, lifting flooring, and stripping out any unsuitable timber. This created a clean and safe environment for structural and mechanical work.

Phase 2 – First Fix Plumbing & Electrics

Before reboarding the walls, we carried out the first fix electrical and plumbing work. This included pipework for new radiators and hot/cold water runs, plus wiring for sockets, lighting, and appliances.

Phase 3 – Insulation & Boarding

Internal walls and ceilings were insulated for improved heat retention and sound control, followed by plasterboard installation throughout the property.

Phase 4 – Plastering

All walls and ceilings were fully skimmed, providing a smooth and modern finish for decoration.

Phase 5 – Second Fix Plumbing & Electrics

Sockets, switches, lighting, extractor fans, and appliance feeds were completed at this stage. Radiators and plumbing fixtures were also connected and tested.

Phase 6 – Kitchen Installation & Tiling

A new kitchen was installed including units, worktops, appliances, and splashback tiling for a practical and modern look.

Phase 7 – Bathroom Installation

A new shower enclosure was installed including tray, screen, wall panelling, and ventilation. Flooring, trims, and sanitary ware were fitted for a clean and modern finish.

Phase 8 – Flooring & Carpentry

Floors were levelled and fitted with new flooring, alongside new skirting boards, architraves, door frames, and internal doors for a complete finish.

Phase 9 – Painting & Decorating

The property was finished with fresh paint to walls, ceilings, and woodwork, ensuring a professional and long-lasting result.
